Trigeminal neuralgia refractory to medical treatment can be addressed through different therapeutic modalities that include: Vascular Decompression Microsurgery (MDV), Radiosurgery, Neurectomies of peripheral trigeminal branches and percutaneous destructive procedures. None of these treatments is curative, and all present an eventual risk of pain recurrence.
