Between September 26 and 29, the XXIII Congress of the European Society of Functional and Stereotactic Neurosurgery took place. On this occasion, the meeting place was the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, Scotland, an entity backed by more than 500 years of history.
One of the most interesting things about this conference is that it was the first to be organized by neurosurgeons and psychiatrists. That is why one of the main topics of this meeting, although of course, not the only one, was the neurosurgical approach to psychiatric disorders.
