Abstract

Doing ethnographies and constructing life histories and narratives of women with chronic pain linked to la Clìnica delDolor of El Seguro Social in Bogotá emerges this investigation with the ought of evidence from an anthropological perspective the relations and conflicts that emerge between the self and the body in chronic pain. This work seeks giving voice and agency to the narratives and coping strategies of a group of women in their fight against the illness and the pain.
