Abstract

Dear friends and colleagues

Six years ago, in May 2002, the First Joint Meeting of Functional Neurosurgery and Stereotaxy ABCUR I was held in the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina, a symbolic name that involves the initials of the participating countries (Argentina, Brazil , Chile and Uruguay).
Four years later, in Santiago de Chile, during May 2006, and on the occasion of ABCUR III, Neurotarget, a journal of Functional Neurosurgery, Stereotaxia and Radiosurgery, was born; result of sustained and meticulous work that attempted to capture the academic production of said event. And he achieved his goal.
Today, May 2008, we witness the unequivocal consolidation of both projects.
