For the first time in the history of world medicine, a state organization will recognize medical coverage for patients without resources who require treatment under neuromodulation therapy. To this end, the creation of the Provincial Neuromodulation Program will allow the optimization of existing resources, stipulate a correct selection of patients and stimulate the dissemination and training of professionals involved. Neuromodulation techniques are highly complex and expensive procedures that are increasingly used throughout the world for the treatment of multiple diseases refractory to other treatments (Parkinson's, spasticity, motor disorders, epilepsy, chronic non-oncological pain, etc.). However, despite its undeniable benefits, its indications are evolving and change as experience accumulates and technology evolves.
