Dear colleagues, friends, NeuroTarget readers:
This issue begins with the fascinating and engaging personal and professional life story of Dr. George Udvarhelyi, a neurosurgeon of Hungarian origin who worked in our country between 1948 and 1952.
He was involved in the field of functional neurosurgery and stereotaxy during this period, participating in nothing more and nothing less than the prefrontal lobotomy procedure for antalgic purposes, performed on the first lady Eva Duarte de Perón in 1952.
