Abstract

Once again, we try to bring you useful information for your daily practice and personal enrichment through this new edition.
First of all, we are pleased to share with you an event that makes the community of Latin American professionals involved in the study and treatment of pain proud: for the first time, in its forty years of history, the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) decided to hold its World Congress in Latin America, and Buenos Aires was awarded as the host city. In this way, in October of last year, the 15th IASP Congress was held with a record number of attendees from Latin America. Dr. Fernando Cerveró, promoter of the Congress in our region and acting President of the IASP during it, shares this experience in his review of the event.
