Between May 21 and 23, 2015, the Latin American Congress of Functional Neurosurgery and Stereotaxia was held in the city of Santiago de Chile, which managed to merge the most representative groups in Latin America, such as the Latin American Society of Functional Neurosurgery and Stereotaxia (SLANFE). and the chapters of Functional Neurosurgery and Stereotaxy of Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Uruguay (ABCUR).
I should mention that it also coincided with the XXVIII Winter Conference of the Neurosurgery Society of Chile.
In the scientific field, it was a meeting with great attendance and first level thanks to the participation of speakers from Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, Ecuador, Mexico, Paraguay, Uruguay, Venezuela and Chile, who gave talks that were grouped in the chapters of Neuronavigation, Stereotaxia, Epilepsy, Abnormal Movements, Pain, Spasticity, Psychosurgery and Radiosurgery, nuanced with participation and discussion that undoubtedly strengthened everyone's knowledge.
