Abstract

The Latin American Federation of Associations for the Study of Pain (FEDELAT), the Spanish Pain Society (SED), the Portuguese Association for the Study of Pain (APED) and the Costa Rican Association of Palliative Medicine and Pain Medicine (ACMPyMD), organized and held the XI Latin American Congress of Pain, VI Central American and Caribbean Pain and Palliative Care and the XIV Ibero-American Pain Meeting from June 15 to 17, 2016, with the Real Intercontinental Hotel, located in San José, as the venue for the event. Costa Rica. This activity constituted the largest meeting of professionals dedicated to the study and management of Pain and Palliative Care in all of Latin America in 2016.
