Approach, sphenopalatine ganglionAbstract
The PEG is located in the pterygopalatine fossa (PPF), along with other important structures such as the internal maxillary artery and the maxillary nerve, each with their respective branches. It is important to have a thorough understanding of the anatomy of this region, because the most used approach to the PEG in the surgical treatment of RC is the lateral percutaneous infrazygomatic approach, which will be discussed in depth later in this text.
