Abstract

Dear readers, dear friends,
I am filled with deep pleasure and satisfaction as I write these preliminary words of reception to this special issue of NeuroTarget, dedicated to the academic activity corresponding to the XII Latin American Congress of Pain, XV Ibero-American Pain Meeting, IV International Congress of Pain of the ABD and I Latin American Congress of Interventionism in Pain, whose content reflects the prolific and outstanding scientific program of the meeting, represented by the summaries of the conferences provided.
It is not a minor issue, on the contrary, to emphasize that this precise year 2017 finds us gathered in this great event in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, offering us the possibility of simultaneously commemorating the 25 years of history of the Latin American Federation of Associations for the Pain Study (FEDELAT) and the Ibero-American Pain Meetings (RIADs).
