Rizotomía percutánea por radiofrecuencia en el síndrome facetario lumbar: Presentación de 210 casos

Resumen

Presentamos 210 pacientes con síndrome facetario lumbar tratados mediante rizotomía o denervación facetaria percutánea por radiofrecuencia, a quienes se les efectuó un seguimiento de 18 meses como mínimo después del procedimiento.

El resultado en el posoperatorio inmediato fue bueno en 134 pacientes (64%), regular en 45 (21%) y malo en 31 (15%). A los 18 meses los resultados fueron buenos en 117 (56%), regular en 70 (33%) y malos en 23 (11%) de los casos.

Se presentó pocos casos de complicaciones: retención urinaria en dos pacientes y disestesias radiculares en cinco, todos ellos transitorios.

El tratamiento con radiofrecuencia percutánea del síndrome facetario es una técnica segura bien tolerada y con resultados satisfactorios.
